  • You need to extend your visa for 1 year

Renting costs in Cambodia when you retire

Rent is affordable in Cambodia with the average amount of $3000 per month for a western-style apartment in Phnom Penh. The rent is cheaper in towns like Kampot, Battambang, and Siem Reap. There are serviced apartments that cover everything that is needed for you like cleaning service, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and one-bedroom in the range of around $500 per month in Phnom Penh.

The immigration official can fine an ER holder working in Cambodia and can arrest you if the laws are broken. The extensions are valid for various lengths up to a year.
